Change (Poem)

Time moves swiftly
as we transform our figures,
revolutionize our thinking,
temper our love.
Everything changes:
the seasons,
the skies,
even the ocean tides.
Political figures,
high school teachers,
college majors too;
without change
life would never feel new.
We’d wear the same old clothes,
watch the same old TV shows.
Our jobs would always be the same;
no promotions, no acclaim.
Every thing that touches our lives
would simply remain
if there was never change.
